Pontiac Central FIRST TEAM
Mission Statement
The Mission of the Pontiac Central FIRST Team is Inspire students to explore the careers of Engineering, Math and Science by successfully competing in all aspects of the FIRST Robotics Competition.
Goals:
- To build a competitive robot to compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition.
- To develop a Chairman's/Hall of Fame submission that incorporates written, video and presentation skills.
- To develop mentoring student activities for our team between Pontiac Central and our supporting sponsors.
- To expose students to Engineering as a career option.
- To develop and maintain a web based communication system or web site for the FIRST Community of teams which includes a team web site.
- To continue developing and maintaining a local competition (Oakland County Competitive Robotics Association) for FIRST Teams and local high schools.
- To secure scholarship opportunities for Pontiac Central FIRST Team students.
